Herbert J. Sanger, age 79, of Kimberly, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 30, 2017. He was born in Milwaukee on May 17, 1938, son of the late Edward “Ed” and Frances (Zakzesky) Sanger. On July 1, 1961, Herbert married RoseMarie Kleemann.
Herbert was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps for 8 years. He also was a minister for over 40 years with the New Apostolic Church. Herbert was a machinist for Kimberly Clark for over 20 years, and then worked at various other places until his retirement in 2003. He was an avid painter and enjoyed time spent with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, RoseMarie; daughters: Wanda (Shawn) Flanigan, Kimberly and Donna (Carey) Hensel, Sandwich, Ill.; grandchildren: Molly (Theron) Gohde, Jimmy (Cheyanne) Flanigan, Phillip Hensel and Robert Hensel; great grandchildren: Skyla, Keelieann and Zayden Gohde; a brother, Donald (Nancy) Sanger, Cudahy, WI; a sister-in-law, June Senger, Traverse, FL; many other family members and friends.
Herbert was preceded in death by a son, Michael Edward Sanger; his parents, Ed and Frances; and a brother, Edward Senger.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at the New Apostolic Church, 11722 W Florist Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53225. Family and friends may gather at the church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Family burial services will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
