Helen Katherine Le Noble

February 18, 1927 ~ April 13, 2015 (age 88) 88 Years Old

Helen K. Le Noble, 88, of Post Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 13, 2015. She was born on February 18, 1927, daughter of the late John and Jean (De Leest) Spierings. Helen was united in marriage to Norbert “Nubs” Le Noble and he preceded her in death in October of 2000.

Helen enjoyed baking and was known for her chocolate chip and Christmas cookies, as well as her pumpkin bars. She enjoyed playing Keno and her card club. She always wished for a perfect cribbage hand, and was dealt one last February. Helen always had an open door and the family enjoyed watching sunsets together and events like Christmas in July and Birthday Bash. Helen was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Elcho and also a member of the Valley Dolls.

Helen is survived by her children: Linda (Lyle) Cole, Ken (Marlene) Le Noble, Lois (Phil) Van Eyck, Lu (Biddy) Pommerening, Cindy Zornow (special friend Rick Peeters), Kevin (Julia) Le Noble and Char Hackmaster; a son-in-law, Kevin (Tammy) Mulry; 24 loving grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; siblings: Marian Vosters, Betty (Tony) Hietpas, Marge Holcomb, Lambert “Jim” (Theresa) Spierings and Donna (Jim) Maldwin; her special companion, Willie Spear; a good friend, Cameron Barnes; and other family members and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Nubs; her parents; a daughter, Cheryl Mulry; siblings: Dorothy (Clem) Cooney, John (Evie) Spierings and Evelyn (John) Welhouse; and many members of the Le Noble family.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 17, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 10530 W. Cole Street, Elcho, with Fr. David Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the Elcho Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Helen’s name.
