Gerald Herbert Sigl
Gerald H. “Jerry” Sigl, age 88, of Little Chute, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 13, 1927, son of the late Herbert and Helen (Raymakers) Sigl. On May 6, 1950, Jerry married Verna DeBruin at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute.
Jerry worked at Consolidated Papers in Appleton for 36 years before his retirement. He enjoyed going up north to his cottage, hunting, fishing, playing cards and going to the casino. He always loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Verna; his sons: Bob (Diane), Dick (Mary) and Ron Sigl; 4 grandchilren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Janice (Gary) Ziesemer; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ione Geerts and Ron (Carol) DeBruin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Lucille (Gordon) Vandenberg, Betty Sigl and James Sigl; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rosalia (Henry) St. Louis, Rita (Bob) Lally, Tom Geerts, Betty (Ed) Sturm and Mervin (Doris) DeBruin.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.
