Gary Spade

  Gary R. “Sam” Spade, 72, of Kaukauna, WI, passed away February 28, 2018.  He was born in Royal Oak, MI to Theodore R. Spade and Margaret J. (Laser) Spade.  On February 3, 1968, he married Angela M. Spaeth in Cashton, WI.  Gary served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 to 1969 as a Radar Specialist.  After service, he worked for Crown Cork & Seal in LaCrosse, WI for 36 years as a Machinist.  Upon retirement, he and Angela moved to Kaukauna to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren.

  Gary was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (Papa Sam).  His two grandchildren gave him so much love, laughter, and happiness.  He felt very blessed to have the time he did to cherish so many special occasions with them.  Gary was an avid golfer and fisherman. In recent years, he enjoyed time spent working in his yard or visiting with friends and family on the deck.

  Gary is survived by his wife, Angela; two daughters: Kathryn Spade and Julie (Carl) Hubbard; two grandchildren: Sam & Carlie; brother-in-law, John Ebarra; sister & brother-in-law: Nancy and John Brenner, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and very special friends: Dee and Merlin Thompson and Steven and Marilyn Payne.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Elaine Ebarra. 

 Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Full military honors will be performed following the service by the Jaccob Coppus American Legion Post #258.
