Delbert Beck

Delbert “Del” Beck, Town of Harrison, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Appleton Medical Center with family by his side. Del was born July 6, 1930, to the late Nick and Mabel (Stielow) Beck in Menasha. He married the former LaVerne Sprangers on Oct 29, 1957. Together they enjoyed 59 years of marriage and had three sons and four daughters. Del’s career included Marathon for 18 years, W.S Patterson, Heitpas Mechanical and retired as a Building Engineer from Johnston Elementary school. After retirement, Del continued to own and manage Beck Storage.  He was a member of St Paul’s Catholic Church in Combined Locks. He enjoyed playing his trumpet with groups such as the Stoplites that played for weddings and picnics, working on and driving his 1934 Oldsmobile, and playing cards with the card groups.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Beck and his six kids: Paul (Harriet) Beck, Thomas Beck & Dani Reynolds, James (Shari) Beck, Mari (Lance) Robinson, Karen Beck and Tim Bohm, Nancy (Mathew) Garcia, 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Theresa; parents, Nick and Mabel Beck, and brothers: Nick, Russel, Don and Robert.

Visitation will be on March 24, 2017, at St Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace St., Combined Locks, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Del's Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Andy Kysely officiating. Interment will follow Del's service in the Holy Angels Parish Cemetery.
