Dale Richard Marquardt

Dale R. Marquardt, 75, Weyauwega, formerly of Little Chute, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. He was born on May 13, 1940, son of the late Charles and Amelia (Revoir) Marquardt. Dale proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1962. After the service, he was united in marriage to Helen Wallace, and she preceded him in death in 1975. He then married Diane Lenz and she preceded him in death in 1995.

Dale worked at the Combined Locks mill for several years before starting his own business, Marquardt Welding in Little Chute in 1974. He operated his business until retirement in 2011. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cribbage, trips up north to the cottage and snowmobiling. He enjoyed watching the Packers and NASCAR, inventing things and sipping on an Old Fashion.

Dale is survived by his children: Julie (Darwin) Malouf, David (Anne) Marquardt, Karen (Ken) Ritchie, Myndi (Mike) Hanstad and Amanda Hanstad; son-in-law, Jeff Kent; step-daughter, Shelly Berghuis; 21 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; siblings: Evie Verbeten, Boots (Linda) Marquardt and Gary (Mary) Marquardt; sisters-in-law: Pat and Carol Marquardt; many other family members and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; his wives: Helen and Diane; a daughter, Dawn Kent; a grandson, Derek Berghuis; brothers: Gordy (Gertie), Bud (Theresa), Norm and Bill; sisters: Dorothy (Joe), Toots (Jim) and Helen (Ole), and a brother-in-law, Ralph Verbeten. 

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 26, 2015, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Full military honors will be performed by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258 and members of the U.S. Navy at the Interment at St. John Cemetery, Little Chute, at 2:30 p.m. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
