Carol M. (Bouressa) Janssen, 85, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2016. She was born on August 27, 1930, in Little Chute, daughter of the late Clarence and Regina (Verstegen) Bouressa. On May 9, 1951, she married her high school sweetheart, Ken Janssen.
Carol worked for Kimberly Clark in Kimberly and later in Neenah. She loved going “up north” to the Shangrila on Roberts Lake with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, listening to all the giggling upstairs when they should have been sleeping. A close second to family was her love of chocolate!
Carol is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Ken; a daughter, Kathy (David) Rosin; sons: Tim (Vicki), Todd (Diane) and Jeff (Dawn) Janssen; 14 grandchildren: Heather (John) Hoffman, Brian (Anne) Rosin, Ben (Liz) Rosin, Heidi (Brett) Altergott, Jake (Ashley) Janssen, Jenna Janssen, Gregg (Katie) Janssen, Jamie (Ryan) Vander Sanden, Jesse Janssen, Angie (Brett) Trapp, Amber Janssen, Heidi (Mike) Nowak, Jaime Kloehn, and Scott (Britni) Byrne; 28 great grandchildren; a brother, Phil (Birdie) Bouressa; sisters: Janet Janssen, Ellen (Ed) Hammen, and Jayne (David) Smits; sisters-in-law: Mona Bouressa, Sylvia (Ted) Kuether, and Rosemary West; brothers-in-law: Gerrit (Marge), Peter, Paul (Audrey), and Joseph (Jane) Janssen; and many other family members and special friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Bouressa; brothers-in-law: Noel Vanden Heuvel, Les, Don, Orville, and Roman Janssen, Dave West, and Larry Schnabl; sisters-in-law: Bernice, Agnes, and Marlene Janssen, and Marianne Schnabl.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.
