Art Vosters

August 21, 1923 ~ September 18, 2017 (age 94) 94 Years Old

Art William Vosters, age 94, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2017, at the St. Paul Home. He was born on August 21, 1923, son of the late Martin and Anna (DeGroot) Vosters.

Art was a bachelor until he was 54 years old when he married Eunice (Nelessen) Vosters. With the marriage, Art inherited 11 children and many grandchildren, whom he treated as his own. He worked at the Kimberly paper mill for 35 years and was a very proud livestock and cash-crop farmer.

Art had a business sense and work ethic that gave his family many lifelong lessons. He enjoyed telling stories and loved to reminisce about the past to anyone who would listen.

Art is survived by his stepchildren: Judy (Jerry) Janssen, Ron (Mary) Vosters, Ralph (Denise) Vosters, Sandie (Gary) Lange, Floyd (Sandy) Vosters, Bruce (Jody) Vosters, Sherry (Nick) Hermann, and Jackie (Kevin) Reichenberger; a daughter-in-law, Lin (Vic) Vosters-Salm; 28 grandchildren: Heather (Tim) Casey, Jeremy Janssen, Chris (Aleisha) Janssen, Jason (Holly) Vosters, Jesi (Tom) Betley, Aaron (Jolene) Vosters, Andee Vosters, Sarah (Mark) Vander Linden, Bill (Sue) Vosters, Luke (Heather) Vosters, Rod (Angela) Vosters, Nicole (Shane) Flaar, Michelle (Adam) Galuszka, Mike Vosters, Alicia (Craig) Oberg, Alena (Nate) Tapelt, Adam (Rachel) Lange, Jenny (Dave) Archibald, Cassie (Dave) Klingbeil, Missy (Jason) Hodzinski, Samantha Vosters, Zach Vosters, Leah Vosters, Ben Vosters, Lee Hermann, Lindsey Hermann, Alex Reichenberger, and Emily Reichenberger; 35 great grandchildren; a brother, Simon Vosters; a sister, Theresa (Jim) Spierings; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Vosters; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Art was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Vosters; step children: Marty Vosters, Dale Vosters, Rog Vosters and Mary Anne Vosters; great grandson, Brooks Casey; brothers: Ves (Jane), Andrew (Calixta), Norbert (Marian), Bill, Ernest, and Gil (Isabelle) Vosters; sisters: Liz (Norb) Becker and Agnes (Gordon) Vande Hey; a sister-in-law, Arlene Vosters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Visitation will be Friday evening, September 22, 2017, at St. John Church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Art’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Paul Elder Services for their compassionate care. Also, a very big thank you to Jim Vosters for your special relationship and weekly Tuesday outings which Art looked forward to every week.
