George has literally been raised in the funeral home business. He was born at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah and his parents and 5 children lived on the second floor of the Kessler Funeral Home. George graduated from Neenah High School before receiving a BBA from St Edwards University in Austin TX. He then graduated from Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in 1966. Upon his return to Neenah, he became associated with his father and mother and funeral service. George purchased the funeral home and business from his parents in 1972. George and his wife Ann purchased the Verkuilen Funeral Home and business from Ted and Rosie Verkuilen in 2000. George served with the Wisconsin Army National Guard from 1966 to 1972. Through the years George has been a member in the following service clubs and organizations: Neenah Menasha Jaycees; Neenah Kiwanis Club; 3rd and 4th degree Knights of Columbus; Neenah Menasha Elks Lodge #676; Jacob Coppus American Legion Post #258, Little Chute; Advance Little Chute and Fox River Valley, Wisconsin and National Funeral Directors Associations.

Ann has had roots in the Fox Valley area as far back as the 1800”s. She earned her B.B.A. at Lakeland College. Being a licensed insurance agent since 1994, she is the Pre Need Specialist for the funeral home. Other responsibilities include designing video tributes and prayer cards for families. You will also see her as the banquet Coordinator. Ann has been a volunteer at Theda Clark Medical Center since 2001, including serving as president of the Theda Clark Auxiliary in 2005. She is also a member of St. John’s Mission Club in Little Chute. Ann is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Jacob Coppus Post #258, Little Chute. She is very active with the school system as a volunteer at her grand children’s schools. Ann enjoys spending time with her husband, George and all of her family. She enjoys meeting new people and is happy to help out when ever she can.

Chad was born and raised in Shawano, and is a graduate of Shawano High School and the University of Minnesota in 1990. He started his career in funeral service in Shawano that same year. Chad has been involved in funeral service for 20 years and licensed 18 years. He has been a Fox Valley resident since 1997, residing in Neenah and has been employed at Kessler Funeral Home for 12 years, along with Verkuilen Funeral Home for 9 years. Chad and his family are members of New Hope Lutheran Church, Neenah. He is also a member of the Neenah-Menasha Noon Optimists. Serving families in their time of need with personal, dignified and compassionate service along with seeing them through this difficult time is a passion of his. His time away from work is his main hobby, his family. He has been blessed with an understanding wife and 2 great children. He also enjoys gardening and the outdoors. | |

Tara was born and raised in the Wittenberg area. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree from UW-Stevens Point in 2005, and later attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science to become a Licensed Funeral Director. Tara has been employed by Kessler and Verkuilen Funeral Homes since 2007. She is a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Neenah. Tara has a wonderful husband, Craig, who she enjoys spending time with as well as her family. Her hobbies include playing the piano, singing, and athletics. | |
